Statistics Saturday: Why Nerds Stop Telling A Joke


The joke's internal logic didn't make sense: 35%. Joke mutated into the opposite joke, then into a joke about what the joke used to be: 15%. Non-nerds started telling the joke: 50%. Everyone who remembered what the joke was about died of old age: 9%. Noticed the joke was built on a racist/sexist/classist/ableist premise so we dropped it: 1%.
Not pictured: The joke got overused so everyone let it drop, because this has never happened.
